A Few of Beth's Artistic Inspirations

Gravity

Eby invites us into the full felt weight of a life, and asks what becomes possible when we gather everything we've lived, press it through our own filter, and let something true emerge on the other side. This is where poetry lives. This is also where healing begins.

The Artist is Present

Presence itself is medicine. Marina Abramovic and Ulay remind us that the body holds what words cannot — that love leaves an imprint the nervous system never forgets. To sit across from another human being, fully, without defense, is one of the most radical acts of healing there is.

Weakness of the Flesh

This dance film gripped and enchanted us immediately. One dancer, with an astounding range of motion, moves through something cemented and immovable. Her delicate body meeting the unbending. It captures something visceral about the human condition: the mind bearing down on the flesh, the rebound, the cycle repeating across time, the resilience and power within.
